Child health care for healthy personality development

Family peace is essential for healthy personality development of the child. In the first year of life the child acquires the power of thinking and a shape or model of the application of the power of thought is formed in the mind.

First month:

Infant's intellectual development in the first month is marked by mother's milk intake. He gradually learns how to suckle more milk. Signs of mental retardation are also seen in the first month through swallowing, which is a reflex action to survive in the conscious state.

Second to fourth month:

At this time skill in various tasks increases and at this time

1) Repeats similar actions;

2) exploring alternatives to similar activities such as finger sucking instead of mother's breast sucking;

3) imitating organ movements or sounds; And

4) Surrounding objects attract him and moving objects attract attention.

Fifth to Seventh Month:

At this age can distinguish between different looks. Also eager to attract attention of others. He also feels when someone resents him. Through touch he gets an idea about the shape of different objects.

Eighth to twelfth months: At this age he can voluntarily control his will and organ movements. At this age, the idea that "doing something happens" is born in the child's mind. During this time, the child's muscle movement increases and the urge is strong, from rolling over in bed to slowly learning to walk.

Parents play a key role in creating interest in a child. Children need to be taught discipline for self-control. Disciplinary controls or limits on the child's actions must be gradually imposed. As a result, the child can make his own decisions about his work and learn from his mistakes Security is not compromised.

Emotional problems in children:

A) Stubborn child: By the age of one and a half years, parents expect the child to comply with the limits of the child's workplace. But at this time the child wants to fully exercise his freedom of movement and will power and desire. If parents try to strictly control the child's willpower and desire, then the child becomes depressed. His frustration is expressed through anger. If the anger gets out of control then the child becomes stubborn. Some stubborn children will cry and stop breathing when they are particularly angry for some reason - they may turn blue and their arms and legs become stiff and twitchy. It is not a disease and does not harm the baby. If angry, such a child should be patiently tried to understand and learn to express anger through words. He has to be enticed to spend more time in sports or other activities.

b) Infants regulate their emotional environment through finger sucking. Finger sucking when the child is tired, feels empty or insecure. According to psychologists, the act of sucking helps in the child's self-satisfaction.

If the baby shows finger-sucking tendency, it is necessary to pay more attention to the baby and to restore the sense of security by spending more time behind him by showing genuine love and affection. Only then the child will gradually seek satisfaction in other things instead of bad habits like finger sucking.

c) Vomiting or defecation and bed-wetting:

Before 18-20 months of age, children cannot fully control the flow of urine. Therefore, four processes must be taught sequentially during voiding training:- First: Awareness of the velocity and sensation of urination; Second: method of passing urine; Third: the need to urinate; And fourth: teaching where to urinate.

For this reason, if the child is encouraged to take the mistakes of the training time and patiently accept them easily, the habit of passing stool will be developed early. It is necessary to make the habit of defecation at a certain time every day and for this it is necessary to sit in the bathroom or potty at a certain time every day. It doesn't matter if he poops sitting or not - the main thing is to get used to it.

Generally, potty training should be started from the age of one year.

Generally, by the age of two and a half to three and a half, most children do not wet the bed; However, some children wet the bed till the age of five. Generally: Children should start potty training between 15 months and 2 years of age. Liquid food and drink should be controlled at night and the child should be woken up 2 to 4 times to urinate. In this way, the bed-wetting of the child has to be controlled with patience.

However, children also wet the bed due to emotional or psychological problems. All these children can be stubborn, extremely shy, overbearing towards siblings

Jealousy may occur and they may have reading problems in school. So if the child wets the bed due to emotional or mental problems, there is a high possibility that the child will continue to wet the bed until the mental problems are resolved.

Remember: Generally, between 15 and 18 months of age, babies can tell that their clothes are wet with urine. At 2 years of age, he can talk about the flow of urine but cannot control the flow. So at two-and-a-half years old, sympathetic parents can prevent him from wetting his clothes by urinating during the day.
